jmarchitects were lead consultant on the Buccleuch Place & Meadow Lane project as part of the University of Edinburgh’s estate regeneration programme.  The project provides student accommodation within thirteen refurbished Grade ‘B’ Georgian townhouses to Buccleuch Place, new purpose-built student accommodation to Meadow Lane with a central communal building set within landscaped gardens. Whitehorn Hall

Whitehorn Hall lies within the grounds of the existing category B Listed University Hall Old Wing, on a highly constrained site within the Hepburn Gardens Conservation Area.  The existing hall has a very specific character and the design of the new annexe set out to be sympathetic and reinforce this. Liberton Barns

Liberton Barns is an innovative 4-bedroom, two storey townhouse development located on a site that used to house a derelict agricultural shed. Wrapped in timber and mimicking the original agricultural shed in terms of massing, form and materials the design connects the development to the semi-rural surroundings.
